The Government & Financial Resources for Your Post-Pandemic Business webinar will highlight what grant, loan and wage subsidy programs your business can take advantage of as we adapt and recover to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Mentor Works, BDC, and EDC have come together to present a webinar covering government grants, loans, and business resources.
Attendees will find a wide range of resources for to help retain and grow jobs, as well as expanding your business into new markets.
Webinar registrants will gain insight into:
- Export insurance, guarantees, market research, and other support options available through EDC
- Financing options available to help business recover and grow through BDC
- Federal and provincial government funding offered to businesses looking to grow, export, and innovate
Although EDC and BDC will be discussing programs and services available to all Canadian businesses, Mentor Works will be discussing grants for businesses that are:
- Incorporated in Canada for at least 2 years
- Financially stable
- Manufacture or conduct R&D in Canada
- Not a retailer/distributor
- Not a startup

Alex is a Business Development Executive at Mentor Works. As part of this role, she works closely with businesses to develop customized Government Funding Plans. Through this deep understanding of government grants, loans and tax incentives, she can identify a way for businesses to maximize cash flow. The best part of her job is connecting with passionate, forward-thinking business owners to learn about their operations, including their challenges to, and opportunities for, growth.
Senior Account Manager, Export Development Canada (EDC)
Lucci Mihet is an experienced Senior Account Manager at Export Development Canada. Before starting with EDC, Lucci was a Commercial Banker, focusing on lending to corporate clients. Within his current role at EDC, Lucci helps Canadian companies de-risk their international sales, access working capital, and supports businesses in taking advantage of global market opportunities. More specifically, Lucci works with Financial Institutions to help Canadian companies obtain the financing and working capital they need to fund growth, as well as provide insurance coverage to mitigate payment risk. Through EDC, Lucci also helps Canadian companies access financial instruments such as bonding, letter of credits, and foreign exchange facilities, to maximize working capital.

Senior Account Manager, Business Development Bank of Canada
Mallory McKewen is a Senior Account Manager with BDC’s Technology Group, supporting companies in Southwestern Ontario with working capital for growth and other projects as well as access to advisory services.
Prior to joining BDC, Mallory was an entrepreneur herself taking an e-commerce company from concept to commercialization. She uses this experience to put together the best solutions for her clients.
